Provisional grades and pending correction questions
What is a provisional grade?
Section titled “What is a provisional grade?”If an attempt contains open questions that have not yet been corrected, the displayed score may be provisional. This affects the participant’s view and can also influence the sorting and grade calculations in the submissions list.
When does it become final?
Section titled “When does it become final?”Once you have corrected all responses that require it, the system can present the grade as final. If you edit a correction afterwards, the resulting score may also change.
Do not confuse the completed status of the attempt with the corrected status of all questions: they are two independent aspects.
Before exporting grades for an assessment, filter out pending attempts and ensure there are no provisional evaluations.
