The visual graph of the adventure
The graph is the visual representation of the path of an interactive adventure.
What does it show?
Section titled “What does it show?”- The scenes as nodes.
- The transitions that connect them.
- The branches and convergences.
- The loops and possible endings.
The graph helps to understand how the participant can progress without having to read all the scenes one by one.
What problems does it help to detect?
Section titled “What problems does it help to detect?”Inaccessible scene: it cannot be reached from the starting point.
Scene without continuity: it is not an ending and has no valid exit.
Impossible ending: an ending is defined, but there is no path leading to it.
Undesired loop: the participant can get stuck repeating scenes.
How to review it
Section titled “How to review it”Start from the initial scene, locate the endings, follow the main branches, and check that the connections make sense. Then use the tester to run through the paths.
