What is a supervised activity?

Activity supervision collects certain observable signals during participation to help the responsible person understand the conditions under which a session has taken place.

It allows contextualizing incidents, such as interruptions or changes in working conditions, when the corresponding control is active.

An incident is not proof of misconduct. A tab change or an interruption can have many legitimate causes.

Supervision should not replace the teacher’s judgment nor automatically turn a signal into a sanction, a grade, or a submission.

Supervision conditions must be communicated clearly to the participant. The type of activity, the device, and the configured options may determine which controls apply.
