Planning a quiz

Before creating questions, it is advisable to decide what participants should learn, practice, or demonstrate.

  • Objective: what do you want to achieve with the activity?
  • Audience: what prior knowledge do the participants have?
  • Format: standard quiz, interactive path, or adventure.
  • Content: which concepts, procedures, or spaces will be covered?
  • Question types: which answers will allow assessment of the objective?
  • Resources: are images, PDFs, videos, clues, or narratives needed?

The quiz retains the content. The activities created from it establish the participation conditions, such as time, attempts, or result visibility.

This separation helps to reuse the same material with different groups or purposes.

Review the writing, check that there are no ambiguous answers, and test the activity from the participant’s perspective.
