Manage subgroups and reassignment changes

For: managers and collaborators.

General subgroups are used to distribute the members of a group and, if needed, assign different dates or conditions to tasks. They are not the same as task teams.

  1. Enter the group from I manage and go to Members.
  2. Open Manage subgroups.
  3. Create subgroups with their own name and arrange their order.
  4. Assign participants; you can also use the quick assignment by dragging people to the subgroup.

The Distribute randomly option allocates participants without a subgroup. If subgroups already exist, it preserves existing assignments and tries to balance the remaining members.

A subgroup change can have an effective date and is recorded in a history. Tasks already started keep the previous access conditions instead of changing them retroactively.

Important: deleting a subgroup requires that it has no assigned participants, no future changes, and no associated tasks.
