Enable, Disable, and Hide Tasks

For: managers and collaborators.

Tasks and topics have related but independent visibility controls.

A task can be active or inactive. If it is not active, the participant does not see it as a new available task. Management allows changing this state according to permissions.

A topic can be marked as visible or hidden for participants. When the topic is not visible, the participant does not have access to the work of that topic as new content, except for access already started which the system protects.

A task being active does not mean it is accessible to everyone: it also depends on whether it is assigned to the member or their subgroup, on availability, and on closure.

Before activating: review the topic, dates, requirements, and recipients. Do not confuse “active” with “out of term”.
